Airheart in Corpus Christi!
Airheart just got back from playing a gathering of devoted John Campbell fans at House of Rock in Corpus Christi. We left early the next morning after hitting the beach, and missed the unveiling of John Campbell's star...but made it sorta on time for our gig in Marshall, Texas that night...Fun, fun, fun!

All Dressed Up Album Release Party!
AIRHEART HOSTS FRESH AIRE LIVE MUSIC SERIES
CD RELEASE PARTY KICKS OFF SRAC’S MONTHLY EVENT
Shreveport, LA – Folk/rock band, Airheart, will host a CD Release party for their new album of all original music, “All Dressed Up,” on Tuesday, March 31st, at 6 p.m. in SRAC’s Central ARTSTATION Engine Room. “All Dressed Up” is the third release from the trio, consisting of members Paula O’Neal, Dan Garner and Amelia Blake Garner. Everyone who attends will have a chance to win Airheart merchandise, including shirts, bags or a batch of Amelia’s “healthy” chocolate chip cookies. Admission is free and open to all ages.
The party will kick off a new monthly event, SRAC’s “Fresh Aire Live Music Series.” Airheart will host the ongoing smoke-free concerts, to be held on the last Tuesday of each month, at Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC’s) Central ARTSTATION in the Engine Room. Each concert will feature a different guest artist or band in a relaxed, cafĂ©-style, listening environment. Food will be available for purchase, plus a cash bar at each concert.
The idea for the music series was born when Pam Atchison, Executive Director for SRAC, was approached by the band about using one of SRAC’s public spaces for a smoke-free, listener-friendly venue for their CD Release party. Atchison and her team, recognizing the possibility that more bands were in need of such a space, came up with the idea for a whole music series. The hope is to complement the Shreveport House Concert Series and Bear’s On Fairfield’s new smoke-free status, grow the audience for local performers, and give music artists an additional choice for their music events.
According to Atchison, the monthly series will be a new initiative for the Shreveport Common area. “We are thrilled that Airheart will be hosting for us each month, inviting a new band or group to play. It allows people to experience music in an intimate, smoke-free environment in ARTSTATION’s Engine Room.”
More information about Airheart can be found atwww.airheartmusic.com, and an application will be available throughwww.shrevearts.org for artists interested in playing the series.

ALBUM UPDATE!
Time for an update on the progress made on our soon to be released CD! We started recording back in late July, and we’re at the point of doing the final mixes and mastering now. Here’s a shot of Dan cutting some vocals in our music room. Our wonderful friend and producer, Robert “Blind Dog” Cook, brought his studio to us and we worked over several days to get the basic tracks down. He has since been busy producing away and using his many talents to add tracks to what we started with – bringing us to jokingly refer to this as our “Pet Sounds” project. (“I want an army of didgeridoos, fifty thousand didgeridoos!”)
This collection of 14 songs will be all original tunes by Dan, Amelia and Paula. You’ve heard many of them over the past few years, and one of them is a rewritten version of an older song of Amelia’s, “Are You Calling”. We are in negotiations to have some of our music included in a movie that will be filmed in New Orleans in 2015, so we worked on several songs to match the storyline of the screenplay. “Are You Calling” is the only tune we worked on that is included on our new album. Any of the other songs we’ve written will be recorded separately for the movie soundtrack. We hear that we will be invited to stay in New Orleans for the duration of the recording, so we are really looking forward to that! The movie is tentatively called “Virginia’s Diary”, and they have a facebook page, so you can follow the progress by “liking” their page. You can also order the ebook online at Amazon.com, written by Suzanne Peyton. Please do look for it!
Getting back to our CD, we are still accepting pre-orders, right up until the day of the CD release party. We have decided to offer a bonus track to everyone who pre-orders the new album. The bonus track is called “I’m Telling You Now”, written by Amelia. We’d cut a quick recording of it for a video project that was supposed to happen – but alas, the project was scrapped. We already had a full count of songs for the new album, so rather than recut the song or completely set it aside, we are sending it out to our pre-order supporters.
Here are the details about pre-ordering: $10 buys the digital download as soon as the project is finished, along with an immediate download of the bonus track. (so we’ll need your email address) $20 buys the digital download as soon as it’s finished, the physical CD as soon as we can get it out to you, and the immediate download of the bonus track. There are several ways to pre-order the CD. You can come to one of our shows and reserve your CD with cash, a check made out to Airheart or a credit card. You can also mail a check to Airheart @ P.O. Box 8234, Bossier City, LA 71113-8234. If a physical address sounds better than a P.O. Box to you, you can mail a check to Airheart @ 8851 Erickson Lane, Haughton, LA 71037.
The next way is to order via our paypal account. If you don’t already use paypal. you can open a free account, and send money to us @ airheartstudios@gmail.com, along with a note with your email address for the bonus track and what you are ordering.
We also accept any and all credit cards. If you wish to use a credit card, you can meet up with us in person, or you can call us with the credit card information. Our phone number can be found under “contact” on this site.
If you have any questions about the process, please don’t hesitate to email us or call us. We love to hear from you!
We had a great time with Jenn Brooke Photography for our photo shoot for the new CD. Jenn made us feel quite comfortable and we are so pleased with her work.
So…yes, we are in the final mixing stage at this point, listening over and over and making small changes here and there in hopes of bringing you an album of songs you’ll enjoy listening to as much as we enjoyed recording them. When we get to the point of ordering the physical CDs, we will plan an official CD release party and will let you know the details of that as we put them together. There has been some talk of a house concert to celebrate the release, but we may end up at a regular venue and do the house concert separately. We’ll keep you posted!
We thank you for your support and your patience as we go through the process of making new music available to you. Lots of love from all of us to all of you!
