Airheart in Corpus Christi!

Airheart just got back from playing a gathering of devoted John Campbell fans at House of Rock in Corpus Christi. We left early the next morning after hitting the beach, and missed the unveiling of John Campbell's star...but made it sorta on time for our gig in Marshall, Texas that night...Fun, fun, fun!

All Dressed Up Album Release Party!

AIRHEART HOSTS FRESH AIRE LIVE MUSIC SERIES
CD RELEASE PARTY KICKS OFF SRAC’S MONTHLY EVENT

Shreveport, LA – Folk/rock band, Airheart,  will host a CD Release party for their new album of all original music, “All Dressed Up,” on Tuesday, March 31st, at 6 p.m. in SRAC’s Central ARTSTATION Engine Room.  “All Dressed Up” is the third release from the trio, consisting of members Paula O’Neal, Dan Garner and Amelia Blake Garner.  Everyone who attends will have a chance to win Airheart merchandise, including shirts, bags or a batch of Amelia’s “healthy” chocolate chip cookies.   Admission is free and open to all ages.

The party will kick off a new monthly event, SRAC’s “Fresh Aire Live Music Series.”  Airheart will host the ongoing smoke-free concerts, to be held on the last Tuesday of each month, at Shreveport Regional Arts Council (SRAC’s) Central ARTSTATION in the Engine Room.  Each concert will feature a different guest artist or band in a relaxed, cafĂ©-style, listening environment.   Food will be available for purchase, plus a cash bar at each concert.

The idea for the music series was born when Pam Atchison, Executive Director for SRAC, was approached by the band about using one of SRAC’s public spaces for a smoke-free, listener-friendly venue for their CD Release party.  Atchison and her team, recognizing the possibility that more bands were in need of such a space, came up with the idea for a whole music series.  The hope is to complement the Shreveport House Concert Series and Bear’s On Fairfield’s new smoke-free status, grow the audience for local performers, and give music artists an additional choice for their music events.

According to Atchison, the monthly series will be a new initiative for the Shreveport Common area.   “We are thrilled that Airheart will be hosting for us each month, inviting a new band or group to play.  It allows people to experience music in an intimate, smoke-free environment in ARTSTATION’s Engine Room.”

More information about Airheart can be found atwww.airheartmusic.com, and an application will be available throughwww.shrevearts.org for artists interested in playing the series.
